At Blue Ridge Precision & Training our mission is to equip shooters with the highest-quality custom rifles, expert training, and premier shooting facility to enhance their precision and performance. Whether for hunting, competition, or professional development, we are dedicated to fostering a community of responsible, skilled marksman through innovation, education, and superior craftsmanship. Our story: leap of faith

The custom rifle business was officially launched 3 years ago, although it had been developing for nearly 6 years. Sean grew up in a firearms and competition-focused environment, learning from his father, a competitive shooter. After attending training with experts like Gordy Gritters and Paul Wunische, Sean began building rifles and founded Blue Ridge Precision & Training in 2022.

Over the years, they’ve expanded the facility, adding barricades and permanent target racks with steel targets reaching up to 1600 yards on Range 1 and beyond 2 miles on Range 2. The company now hosts national two-day matches, regional one-day matches, and training classes.

Sean has a long history in the outdoor industry, started guiding at 14 on his family's ranch, then joining the Marine Corps. Sean then started Northwest Premier Guides fishing guiding, eventually leading him back to guiding for big-game at Blue Ridge Ranch where Blue Ridge Rifle Range shooting facility is located now.

We specialize in high-performance custom hunting and match rifles. Each rifle is built one at a time, starting with a conversation to ensure it’s tailored to your exact needs—whether that’s for hunting, competition, or tactical use.

What brands and components do you use in your rifle builds?

We only work with trusted, top-tier brands including Impact Precision, Defiance Machine, Proof Research, Benchmark Barrels, CarbonSix, Hawkins Precision, Manners Composite Stocks, TriggerTech, Leupold, Kahles, and more.

Do I need prior experience to take your training classes?

Not at all. Our Basic Long Range Hunting Classes are designed for all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your shooting system, we’ll help you improve.

What should I bring to a training class?

Bring your rifle (preferably with a first focal plane scope), 150–200 rounds of consistent ammunition, and be ready to learn. Additional details and a waiver form will be provided upon registration.

How do I register for training or matches?

You can register directly through our Events page using a simple form that collects your name, contact info, rifle caliber, and scope type. We'll follow up with additional details after you sign up.

What makes your shooting facility stand out?

Our facility spans 3,000 acres and features two dedicated ranges with steel targets extending out to 1,600 yards on Range 1 and over 2 miles on Range 2. It’s one of the premier long-range shooting environments in the Northwest.
